At the 6th Year Assembly on Tuesday, 12th November, Daniel from Focus Ireland gave a presentation to the whole school about how Focus Ireland challenges homelessness. Stratford will be fundraising for Focus Ireland as part of Mitzvah Week.

This week, our school proudly participated in Stand Up Week, an initiative to raise awareness and support for LGBTQ+ students while standing against bullying. Shockingly, nearly 50% of LGBTQ+ students in Irish secondary schools experience homophobic, biphobic, or transphobic bullying. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where every student feels accepted and valued.

'Comhairle na nÓg child and youth councils give young people all over Ireland the chance to have their voices heard on the issues affecting their lives, both today and in the future'. During Science classes at the end of October, 2nd - 6th Year Science students created their very-own Slime.
The second and sixth years went to the Gaeltacht on the 21st of October for three days. We had sport and fun. We were in the water every day, We did body boarding and climbing, We were on the SUP, did archery, and had a ceilí that evening. The second and sixth years had classes and it helped to improve our Irish. We had an amazing time and enjoyed it loads.
